Emmanuel Kagning-Tsinda

Postdoctoral Associate

Emmanuel Kagning is a postdoc working with Stacy Springs (MIT-CBI) and Anthony Sinskey (MIT-Department of Biology). He received a Ph.D in Medical Virology at University of Tohoku (Japan), advised by Hitoshi Oshitani and Mayuko Saito. Emmanuel previously worked on projects to understand the epidemiology and genetic evolution of RNA viruses (Rotavirus, Calicivirus and SARS-CoV-2). His current research efforts aims to improve cell manufacturing sterility testing by developing rapid methods for sensitive and accurate detection of viruses using metagenomic sequencing.
