The bootcamp leverages on the faculties' unique experiences with biologics and is designed specifically for cell therapy manufacturing. The curriculum will focus on:
The faculties include Dr. Howard Califarno, director of SMART Innovation Centre; as well as Professor Charles Cooney, founding Faculty Director of the Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation at MIT and sits on the Boards of Directors of Genzyme. Genzyme was the world’s third-largest biotechnology company focusing on biologics before it was acquired by Sanofi in 2011. Biologics back in its early days was in many ways similar to what cell therapy is now, there are more unknowns than knowns in its manufacturing, costing and business models.
